Welcome to My Blog!

A compendium of information relevant to medical writers and those who work with us

Hello! My name is Mariana and I am a professional medical writer.

I live in Toronto with my husband and daughter and our cat, Sparkle.

In my day job I write regulatory and scientific documents for pharma and biotech clients through my company, Intellimmune.

In my spare time I read, bake, run with my local running group, and hang out with family and friends.

And now you also blog?

Yes I do!

I'm always writing down interesting bits of information I come across in my work or that come up in discussions with my colleagues, so I thought I might as well post these in a blog. If I found them useful, maybe they'll be useful to you as well.

What are you going to write about?

All things medical writing. I would hope that the posts would be of interest to anyone writing in the medical and health space. There are some tips for medical writers, some info for those working with medical writers, some things I've researched for a project... And probably other things... Who knows? I will try to keep it light and to the point.

What's in it for me?

I hope you find the blog informative and useful in your dealings with medical writing (and medical writers). I also hope that my posts start a discussion so that we can learn from each other. So, if you like a particular post or have further thoughts on the topic, or even if you have some constructive feedback, please let me know in the comments.

Where should I start?

The post are not in any particular order (I post them as I write them), but this one would be a good place to start if you are wondering what medical writing is all about or this topical one about the recently updated Good Publishing Practice guidelines. You can also search the posts by keywords, such as "manuscript" or "regulatory".

I will post the links on LinkedIn and Twitter so you can follow me there if you want to know when a new article has been posted.

Thanks for checking it out!
